01 · TERMINAL
Cruise Terminal 28 (Disney / Regent)
2702 Harborside Drive, Galveston, TX 77550
Drop-off: Terminal 28 is directly across from Terminal 25 in the downtown port area. The port describes Terminal 28 as primarily Disney Cruise Line's, but Disney does not have it to itself — Regent's Seven Seas Splendor sails from here too, so go by the terminal on your own booking. Drop luggage curbside, then proceed to parking.
PARKING
Same options as Terminal 25: Express Lot (walking distance), Lots A & B (free shuttle), or SMP Garage (covered, at a rate the port quotes when you book rather than publishing). Reserve online at portofgalveston.com. Free shuttle runs between lots and both terminals.
02 · BOARD
Boarding: Most cruise lines assign an arrival window during online check-in — set yours as soon as check-in opens, since the best slots go first. Don't arrive before your window opens: terminals typically hold early arrivals outside, so getting there early buys you nothing. Experienced cruisers most often point to early afternoon, once the first rush has cleared, as the smoothest time to walk in. Follow the check-in instructions your cruise line sends you — they always take priority over general guidance.
- □ Keep your ID, boarding documents, and medication in your carry-on Checked bags may not reach your cabin until later in the day.
- □ Use the arrival time printed in your boarding documents Your cruise line's current documents are the source of truth for check-in.
- □ Keep one small day bag with anything you need before your cabin is ready You may board before cabins and checked luggage are available.
