Your Terminal

Cruise Maryland Terminal (Royal Caribbean & Carnival)

Drop-off: Follow I-95 to Exit 55 (Key Highway), then continue straight onto East McComas Street. The terminal entrance is on the right at 2001 E McComas St. Drop off luggage curbside with porters (tip $2-3 per bag), then drop off passengers before heading to the parking lot.

Parking: Secured outdoor parking lots are at South Locust Point, within walking distance of the terminal. Rate is $25 per cruise night — no advance reservation needed. Courtesy shuttles and handicap-accessible transport run between the lots and the terminal building. Credit card only.

Check-in tips:

  • Complete online check-in before arrival — Royal Caribbean uses the app's SetSail pass, Carnival uses the HUB app
  • Bring a government-issued photo ID (passport required for international itineraries)
  • Both cruise lines share the same terminal building — follow signage for your specific line
  • Arrive during your assigned boarding window to avoid long waits

Getting to the Port

From Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI)

BWI is about 11 miles from the cruise terminal — roughly 15-20 minutes by car, depending on traffic. This is the closest major airport and the easiest option for fly-in cruisers.

Uber/Lyft: $20-30. Taxi: ~$30 flat rate. Shuttle services: $16-25/person.

From Washington Dulles (IAD) or Reagan National (DCA)

Dulles is about 70 miles away (75-90 min drive), and Reagan National is about 45 miles (60-75 min). Both are options if you're combining a D.C. visit with your cruise, but BWI is much more convenient.

Uber/Lyft from DCA: $60-90. From IAD: $80-120. Amtrak from D.C. Union Station to Baltimore Penn Station: ~$15-25, then Uber to port.

Driving & Port Parking

Baltimore is a major drive-to cruise port for East Coasters. The terminal at South Locust Point is easy to reach from I-95 (Exit 55, Key Highway). Secured outdoor parking lots are within walking distance of the terminal, with courtesy shuttles running regularly.

$25/cruise night at the terminal lot. No reservation required. Credit card only.

Hotel Shuttle Services

Several Inner Harbor and BWI-area hotels offer park-stay-cruise packages that include a night's stay, parking for the duration of your cruise, and a shuttle to the terminal.

Park-stay-cruise packages: $120-250 total (hotel night + parking + shuttle)
