Getting here without a car

- No train reaches the pier. Royal Caribbean's own directions send you by PATH from Manhattan to Jersey City or Hoboken, then the NJ Hudson-Bergen Light Rail to Bayonne's 34th Street station — the last two miles to the terminal are by taxi.
- Is there a bus to Cape Liberty Cruise Port?
- The 119 bus runs along Kennedy Boulevard through Bayonne, stopping every three blocks. 33rd Street and Kennedy Boulevard is the closest point on that route to the port, still about three miles away by taxi. Royal Caribbean also books motorcoach transfers on 800-310-9900.

The on-site parking garage is $35/day, credit cards only — the operator does not accept cash. No reservation needed — parking is guaranteed. The garage has a 7'4" height restriction; oversized vehicles park in the adjacent open lot at double the rate. The cheapest off-site lot that publishes a free cruise shuttle is Cruise Parking Bayonne at 100 Chosin Few Way, at $24.99/day.
Passenger drop-off
The address for a taxi or rideshare is 4 Port Terminal Blvd, Bayonne, NJ. Driving: take the NJ Turnpike to Exit 14A, then follow Route 440 South to Port Terminal Blvd. Turn left and continue past the guard gate — follow signs to the cruise terminal. Drop luggage curbside with porters (tip $2-3 per bag), then proceed to the parking garage. The distance from the drop-off curb to the terminal door is not published. If it matters for you, ask your cruise line before you travel.
Before you arrive
- Complete Royal Caribbean or Celebrity online check-in and download your boarding pass to the cruise line app before arrival
- Bring proof of citizenship plus a government-issued photo ID — a driver's license alone is not accepted, even a REAL ID. An Enhanced Driver's License (WA, NY, MI, MN, VT) counts as both on a round trip. A passport covers both; on a closed-loop sailing that returns to Bayonne, a state-issued birth certificate with your photo ID also works, and guests under 16 need only the birth certificate.
