None of this changes where the cheapest space is for your dates; it changes what you are buying. If your car is new, leased, or simply loved, covered parking for a week is a modest premium against a summer of Texas sun, and it is one of the few dimensions of this comparison where the independents publish more than the port does. If your car is a decade-old daily driver, save the money and take the open-air space nearest your terminal.

A shuttle plan degrades badly, because the shuttle wait is the one part of the morning you cannot compress, and EZ Cruise's published window — service from 9am to 2pm, last bus at 2:30pm, buses leaving when full but waiting no more than thirty minutes — is generous for normal mornings and unforgiving for genuinely late ones. Lighthouse's continuous service is the stronger late-morning shuttle bet by its own description, but it is still a ride you wait for. The port's own hedge is worth knowing too: reservations are strongly suggested rather than required, and if space remains when you arrive, the port will take payment and let you park — a real safety net for the disorganized, though on a four-ship Saturday it is a safety net and not a plan.
