How much is parking at Galveston for a 7 day cruise?
The Port of Galveston's parking pages publish no rate, quoting one only after you enter your ship and sail date, though its news section indicates around $25 a day. Galveston Park N Cruise lists a 7 Day rate from $140 outdoor and $175 indoor; EZ Cruise quotes $11-$15 daily.
Do you have to reserve parking at the Port of Galveston?
Reservations are strongly suggested rather than required. The port says that if space remains when you arrive it will take payment and let you park. Credit cards only, no cash. Cancel through the port's own website at least 24 hours before your sail date and there is no fee.
Is off-site parking in Galveston cheaper than the port?

CostGalveston Limousine Service publishes $28.00 per person one way online against $55.00 by phone. Hobby's own flat-rate taxi table covers five metro Houston destinations and not Galveston, so a taxi here runs on the meter. Rideshare: no published fare.
Southwest's hub is closer to Galveston — about 45 miles, or 60 min drive time without traffic.
Pro tip: Hobby is significantly closer than IAH. If you have a choice of airports, Hobby saves 30+ minutes. The route via I-45 is straightforward — just watch for ferry traffic near Galveston.
Galveston Express ShuttleSolo travelers or couples who don't want to rent a car

I-45 is the only practical route onto the island: about ninety minutes from downtown Houston, sixty from George Bush Intercontinental and fifty from Hobby in clear conditions, plus an hour on a busy sailing day. Harborside Drive is the real bottleneck between about ten and one, so a walk-up lot beats a shuttle lot if you are late.
