Parking
Park in the CT-5 lot ($20/day plus tax, covering the day of arrival and the day of departure). Parking is cashless — major credit cards only — and paid on arrival; no reservations are accepted. The walk to the terminal entrance is short.
Passenger drop-off
Cruise Terminal 5 is on Charles Rowland Dr on the north side of the port — the group Port Canaveral signs as the A Terminals, and they are reached from a different SR-528 exit than Terminals 1, 2 and 3. Take Exit 54A, not 54B; crossing to the other side once you are inside the port is a long detour around the basin. The drop-off lane runs along the front of the building, and porters are stationed curbside to take your checked luggage. Tip $2-3 per bag.

Before you arrive
Arrive during the check-in window in your cruise-line documents.
- Terminal 5 is shared by multiple cruise lines — look for your specific cruise line's signage once inside
- This terminal can handle large ships, so embarkation-day crowds can be bigger. Arriving at your assigned time really matters here
- Have your boarding pass ready, plus proof of citizenship as well as photo ID — a passport, or an accepted proof of citizenship such as an original birth certificate together with a government-issued photo ID. A driver's license alone is not accepted, REAL ID included. An Enhanced Driver's License (WA, NY, MI, MN, VT) counts as both on a round trip. The screening checkpoint is right inside the main entrance
- Families with strollers: there's a dedicated lane at security. Ask a porter if you don't see it
Last-minute supplies
There's a small gift shop inside the terminal for last-minute sunscreen or a magazine. For anything more, the closest option is the Walgreens on SR-528 (about 5 minutes). The Publix on Astronaut Blvd is about 8 minutes away.
