Seawolf Park
The Port of Galveston sends its own cruise passengers here, and the reason it gives is the reason a spectator comes: "Watch ships come and go in Galveston Bay or spot dolphins from the shore." The park is on Pelican Island, across the channel from the terminals, and Galveston Island's visitor bureau adds that its fishing pier is one of the island's most popular. The WWII submarine USS Cavalla and the destroyer escort USS Stewart are moored in the same park.
