HDOnTap's own account of the shipping is the honest one to go in with: "You can spot cargo ships arriving and departing, tugboats guiding vessels, and the occasional cruise ship passing through the port entrance."
"Occasional" is the word to hold on to. Long Beach's cruise terminal is the dome beside the Queen Mary, across the water from this camera, and HDOnTap never names it or any berth in the view — so this is a chance to catch your ship on its way out through the port entrance, not a camera trained on the pier. Check the scheduled departure above before you send anyone the link, and remember the camera moves itself between presets, so the shot you want is not guaranteed to be the shot it is on.
HDOnTap runs the stream and credits the Aquarium of the Pacific for the location. It is a commercial webcam host's camera, not the Port of Long Beach's, and nothing on the page claims the port endorses it.
