Brooklyn has its own on-site outdoor lot at $45.00 per night for up to 24 hours, taxes included, with no reservation needed — a different lot at a different price from Manhattan's. Passenger drop-off
This is the wrong borough for the Manhattan Cruise Terminal, and that is the most useful thing this page can tell you. The Brooklyn Cruise Terminal is a separate facility at Pier 12 in Red Hook, about six miles across the harbour and further by road, with its own entrance, its own parking and its own ships. If your documents say Brooklyn, use our Brooklyn guide — it carries the addresses, the $45 parking, the ferry and bus fares and the boarding-day timings, all read from NYCEDC and the operators on 2026-08-17. In short: cars enter at Bowne Street and Imlay Street, and the address NYCEDC publishes for GPS is 210 Clinton Wharf, Brooklyn, NY 11231.

- Check which terminal your cruise line names before you set a GPS — Manhattan and Brooklyn are two facilities a harbour apart, and 23 of the 133 ships in NYCEDC's record have used both
- Baggage processing at the New York terminals starts no earlier than 9:30 am and boarding generally begins between 11:30 am and 12:30 pm — your cruise line's assigned window still decides your time
- Neither New York cruise terminal stores luggage, so plan the gap between hotel check-out and boarding around that
- Driving to Brooklyn? The only vehicle entrance is Bowne Street at Imlay Street

New York City has two cruise terminals and they are not interchangeable. The Manhattan Cruise Terminal is at 711 12th Avenue on the West Side; the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal is a single 880-foot berth at Pier 12 in Red Hook, about six miles away across the harbour and further than that by road. Both are city-owned, both are managed by Ports America, and both appear on NYCEDC's cruise site — which is exactly why people arrive at the wrong one. This page exists to settle which is yours. Which New York terminal does my ship use?
Your booking is the authority, and ship assignments move between the two — NYCEDC's own record has 23 of its 133 ships berthing at both. Oceania Vista is the current example: three forward calls, one at Brooklyn and two at Manhattan. What follows is where the two terminals are and who currently sails from each, read from NYCEDC's forward berthing record on 2026-08-17.
- Manhattan Cruise Terminal: 711 12th Avenue at West 55th Street, on the Hudson. Norwegian, Carnival, Regent, Azamara, Viking, Holland America and others.
- Brooklyn Cruise Terminal: Pier 12, Red Hook. NYCEDC publishes 210 Clinton Wharf for GPS use only. Cunard's Queen Mary 2, Virgin Voyages' Valiant Lady, Princess's Majestic Princess, Seabourn Ovation and Oceania Vista.
- The two are about six miles apart across the Upper Bay, and the road route between them runs through the Battery Tunnel — allow far more than six miles' worth of time.
- Manhattan's sailings carry NYCEDC's berth designations, MCT 1 and MCT 2. Brooklyn has one quay, so its calls carry no berth number at all.
- MSC no longer sails from Brooklyn: MSC Meraviglia was based at Red Hook for three years — 152 Brooklyn calls in NYCEDC's record — and has moved to PortMiami. It has no forward Brooklyn calls left, and no replacement ship has been announced for New York.

Is Brooklyn's parking the same as Manhattan's?
No — different lot, different operator, different price, different rules. Manhattan charges $45.00 per night on the pier roof; Brooklyn charges $45.00 per night in an outdoor lot beside the terminal, and the fact that the two numbers currently match is a coincidence rather than a policy.
