From George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH)

Houston's largest airport is about 75 miles from the Port of Galveston. Allow at least 90 min for the drive, more during rush hour.

From William P. Hobby Airport (HOU)

Southwest's hub is closer to Galveston — about 45 miles, or 60 min drive time without traffic.

Driving from Houston or Nearby

Galveston is about 50 miles south of downtown Houston via I-45. The drive is easy but traffic varies widely.
