Regal Princess usually boards at Terminal 25 in the downtown port area. The Express Lot gives you walking distance to the terminal, while Lots A and B on 33rd Street are the furthest out and run a free shuttle, which is where the saving usually comes from over a week-long cruise. Complete check-in through the Princess MedallionClass app. For a seafood dinner the night before, Fisherman's Wharf is barely 3 minutes from the port with a harbor-view patio where you can watch the ships come and go.
